Alverno Heights Academy is an independent, progressive, Catholic, college preparatory high school for young women nestled on the 13-acre property of the historic Villa del Sol d’Oro in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Founded in 1960 by the Sisters of St. Francis and supported by the Immaculate Heart Community since the 1970s, Alverno provides its young women with a challenging and innovative academic curriculum focused on empowering each young woman to become exactly the person she wants to be while growing as a citizen of the world.
