July 11, 2016 Dear Students and Parents/Guardians, Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  Your preliminary schedule was mailed home. If you'd like to adjust your schedule, please contact Ms. Tymon by email at dtymon@alvernoheights.org. There will also be an opportunity to see Ms. Tymon for schedule changes on Wednesday, August 10 from 11:00am-3:00pm, in room 117. Please realize that the schedule you are receiving in this mailing is PRELIMINARY and is subject to change through the Studies Office. Should you request a schedule change, we will do our best to honor it, but we will not always be able to do so due to various scheduling constraints. Changes will not be made for teacher preference. Any major schedule change will require a parent/guardian's written permission. Your final schedule will be available on PowerSchool before the first day of school on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Now that you have your preliminary schedule, you are equipped to begin purchasing your books.  The EdTech (formerly ESCO) online bookstore opens on Monday July 18, 2016.  Please see the EdTech ordering instructions on the “Back to School” section of the Alverno High School website: alverno-hs.org. For your convenience, below is a list of important dates coming up in July and August: Monday, July 18 - EdTech online bookstore opens for book orders Wednesday, August 10 - 11:00am-3:00pm - Ms. Tymon is available for schedule changes in room 117 Thursday, August 18 - first day of school for all students; schedule changes also available in room 117 We are looking forward to seeing you all again and beginning an exciting new year.
