Alverno Heights Academy Presents “She Kills Monsters”
Alverno Heights Academy is proud to present our fall play “She Kills Monsters” on Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Porticos Art Space.
“She Kills Monsters” is a dramatic comedy written by Qui Nguyen that follows the story of Agnes Evans. After the death of her sister Tilly, Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons and Dragons notebook and ventures into a fantasy world filled with fairies, ogres, and dragons. It will be an action-packed show full of wit and adventure.
The main cast of “She Kills Monsters” includes junior Julia Vallen ‘19 as Agnes Evans, junior Maritza DiRito ‘19 as Tilly Evans, St. Francis High School senior Riley Luna ‘18 as Chuck Biggs, St. Francis High School junior Ethan Qua ‘19 as Miles, sophomore McKenna Lindheimer ‘20 as Kaliope, senior Sierra Curren ‘18 as Lilith, frosh Auden Harper ‘21 as Vera, and sophomore Madison Ramirez ‘20 as Orcus. Also featured are junior Caroline Dragos ‘19 as Evil Tina, frosh Allie Salinas ‘21 as Evil Gabbie, sophomore Josie Beltran ‘20 as Farrah the Faerie, sophomore Vianni Barzallo ‘20 as Susan, and junior Lily Pentecost ‘19 as the Narrator. The Monsters are played by frosh Alexis Alvarado ‘21, St. Francis High School sophomore Ian Batista ‘20, frosh Tatiana Cortes ‘21, frosh Gabriela Gutierrez ‘21, and frosh Nicole Sao ‘21.
Alverno’s production of “She Kills Monsters” is being directed by Ms. Cynthia Cales P’12, Theatre and Dance Director, with stage managing by junior Rita Kearns ‘19 and set design by Paul Cales P’12.
Presale tickets to “She Kills Monsters” may be purchased from the Alverno office for $15, online at AlvernoHeightsAcademy.org, online through BrownPaperTickets.com, and at the door at Porticos Art Space during the run of the production.
